Bike Display for Bike Storage
Often the best way to get out and see the town or just get some good ol’ fashion cardio is our favorite steed, the bicycle. Often we discuss how nice it would be to have a convenient and appropriate place to store our bikes in our storage challenged apartment. Fortunately, our building offers storage below in the “dungeon” and yes, there is a killing room (fully insulated and mostly sound proof). Ok, ok, actually its a run down bathroom with those ceiling tiles made of cardboard with the holes in them, like these. But we digress, and in hopes of avoiding going down to the dungeon we have been looking into some alternative bike storage solutions or bike display options.
Obviously there are many hideous options out there, of which we have no desire to endorse or even look at, so we collected a group of photos that silently celebrate the victory over space challenged homes. Some of the best racks/our fav’s are made from wood and we think would fit quite nicely in our place, of course we’ll be sure to update you if we can finally commit to one.

via designsponge, ok yes this is a cool place but check out the well placed bikes in the living room corner, Victory! Those bikes are suspended by the inexpensive Delta Leonardo hooks (12 bucks).

This sweet little baby is not just a bike rack but a clever shelf, comes in several different stains making hard to resist. Custom built by Knife and Saw.

Andrew Lang is a-mazing and his contribution to cool bike racks is color, cause these come in all sorts of colors and should meet everyone’s bike rack needs, check out this cool interview.

This one is really hard to resist and it’s not just cause it’s from a cool Etsy store (Cantilever & Press) either, it’s cause is looks gorgeous!

Who said that metal is cold? Apparently Public not only makes kick a$$ bikes but cool bikes stands that are great for alternative to making holes in your walls. FYI if you haven’t heard about Public bikes and gear yet be sure and check out their goods, they’re from San Francisco and naturally that makes’em super cool.

Can’t say that we can really endorse this solution for much more than laughing, but go ahead and try it. Be sure and video your attempt so we can laugh at that too.
