Early last month we got an email from friend and previous featurette here on STM, Jen Renninger. She wanted to share with us her ever so wonderfully curated and collected, medley of vintage boxes. A few months back when we were invited to Svpply by our friend deedee914, we were on inspiration and buyers envy overload. Our eyes were opened to a whole new world. A world where the carefully curated and finer things in life were readily at your eyeballs [fingertips]…and all in one place. There have been many a things we’ve added to our collective Svpply’s, and a few things we’ve actually invited into our home…our favorite so far being the Themis Mobile by designer Clara Von Zweigbergk and sold by The Future Perfect.

This no-ordinary mobile arrives Ikea style…in other words, put it together yourself. So we set out to fold each piece and carefully put the thing together…all the while saying to each other, “don’t bend it like that, your fat little fingers are going to mess it up!” and “hmm…it isn’t supposed to look like that”…but as you can see, our fat little fingers did a most excellent job.

For $27, you really can’t beat this fabulous mid-century inspired mobile. It currently resides above our desks and adds some major flare to the often long work day.

As we were putting this together, we used an iphone app to take the photos…resulting in cool, but not completely true colors. Here is a photo of the mobile in true color…brilliant and beautiful!

Many of you have heard us rant and rave about Workerman aka Adam Brackney before, but what we haven’t shared before are his amazing woodworking skills. A couple months ago we received our Design Bureau magazine and spotted his handlebars right away…we then proceeded to buy a couple things from his store and thought we’d share these amazing finds.
