Q & A:: Formspring

Howdy.

A couple days ago we joined Formspring. Some of you may not be aware of this new fad, but besides it being a time waste, err I mean sweet-a app, it could actually be useful and informative. Oh there are haters, purists and lovers, just like with any new social networking type site, but we say, what the hell, why not.

Formspring essentially allows anyone to ask us anything they want. Named or anonymous. Obviously we have the option of not answering uber personal or inappropriate questions, but we think having a certain level of transparency is a good thing…and humorous. Below are a few of the questions people have submitted so far.

So, ask away. :)

Where did the name The Sunday Times Market come from?

Over breakfast one Sunday morning as we read the New York Times, we were discussing the closure of so many newspapers and how we enjoy the simple act of sitting down to read the paper. The “marketplace” section was a proverbial graveyard.

Sunday also happens to be the time when we find ourselves out vintage shopping the most.

Love of the Times + Sunday Shopping

Hmmm… http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/stuff-white-people-like-the-book/ (first paragraph)?

We are so down with the whiteness. In fact, David Sedaris is our uncle. Sarah Silverman invited us over to dinner the other night, but we were busy watching one of Wes Anderson’s “droll” films on our imac, while eating authentic sushi made with organic rice and sipping the finest microbrew we bought from the food co-op.

Ashley is about as white as they come, but David is more of a coconut (Mexican on the outside, white on the inside).

Do you care to join us next Sunday at our super special secret breakfast spot, for a free-trade gourmet coffee while we peruse the New York Sunday Times?

What’s 2 + 3?

Umm, tried to think of something clever, but just too drunk from my bad-a whiteness microbrew.

how old are you?

David is 870734965 seconds old. No wait, make that 870734966 seconds.

Ashley is 783726623 seconds old.

Why is it we always see photos of David and none of Ashley?

Haha. This is probably mostly due to the fact that I am addicted to the iphone and best cam app. Note to self…change out of work clothes (sweatpants, yoga pants, thermals) and show more pics of self (ashley). :)

How did you guys meet?

When we met, Ashley was a touring singer/songwriter and she happened to be playing at a venue where I (David) lived. A friend and I went to her show and afterward her band invited us to go bowling. We went and then we began talking for the next several months and the rest is history. :)
