It is funny, how our desire for the past is such a driving force of our present. We spend hours and days collecting, refinishing, researching and obsessing over things once designed and created many years ago. We desire to replicate either in whole or in part, the mid-century design era. Not the lifestyle. A time when computers, cell phones, and the internet were not a household staple. Nor did the lack of these inventions inhibit such a revolutionary design period. All of these designs, and genius creations were made without, what we feel today we could not live without.

So these designs and designers we so eagerly pursue from the past? They truly are…genius.

And our homes, the places where we gather all our finds, collections and creations? They are a museum of this genius. Displaying it and waiting for the true appreciation of a mid-century modernist.
