A few weeks ago we received an email letting us know that the new Curbly book, “Make It! Mid-Century Modern” had been released. Having been looking forward to this release for some time, we rushed to purchase the book to see what goodies were awaiting to be made.

Now, we are all for vintage finds and precious mid century gems, however we also love building things and having the opportunity to re-create some very amazing mid-century designer inspired furniture and housewares was extremely exciting. With the holidays we haven’t had much of a chance to tackle any of the projects yet, but we will be sure to update you on their statuses as we embark. This book, with its appealing photography and sleek design, already has us itching to get to our shop and start workin’. We highly recommend you check it out, and at only $9.99, it is a heck of a find!

Merry Christmas from The Sunday Times Market! Snapped a couple quick pics while partaking in a long standing family tradition…Christmas Eve dinner at the Canton. mmm, nothing says Christmas like greasy Chinese.

Ever since the Pouf entered our radar, we quickly became intrigued and enthralled with all the varying poufs available, both vintage and new. A few miles away from our home there is the most wonderful vintage emporium that has treasures galore. In the back of the store, near the dusty and much-loved books, sits a gorgeous emerald green pouf. Nearly 3 feet across, this jewel caught our eye and we immediately ran to the front to inquire. Much to our dismay, it was not for sale…..yet. Each time we frequent the store we ask about it, hopeful.

Anyhow, as much as we would love to add this amazing pouf to our home, we are on the search for another perfect match. Along our endeavor, we have come across a few that you may be very familiar with. These are our most favorites.
